Not for beginners. This strain has immediate cerebral effects followed by a rush of energy throughout the body. The cerebral effects are very potent and long lasting with surprisingly little to no crash, which can be reminiscent of a strong sativa.

Comes on very gently with a pleasantly mellow creeper effect. I feel minimal to no physical effects from Layer Cake, but a gentle, uplifting cerebral feeling. It has significant anxiety and depression relieving qualities, making it a functional all day strain for treating said conditions as well as other similar ailments. It doesn’t hit you super hard or blast you off into space, so I’d recommend it for those using it for medicinal purposes rather than recreation.I think it’s safe to say that beginners to cannabis as well as those who are more experienced and looking for alternatives to anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications will find this strain very helpful and pleasant. Zero anxiety/paranoia for me, which I’m prone to even after being a cannabis user of 15 years.Smooth flavorful smoke, although I can’t quite place the flavor. It has a similar smoothness/sweetness that most cookies strains have, but without the vanilla-y sweetness. But others say it has a more pungent type of flavor. The lineage of the Layer Cake by GTI/Rhythm that I have is Seed Junky Genetics’ Wedding Cake crossed with Swamp Boy Seeds’ Triangle Kush Skunk/GMO cut. It’s testing between 17%-24% THC from my dispensary in IL. My batch was around 24%.Only 4.5/5 from me because I would like a little bit more of a creativity-inducing effect, but it’s definitely one of my new favorite everyday-all day strains and will always be on hand in my stash.

Perfect end to a long day. Super tired when I got off of work. My body ached, and just wanted to lay down.. and that's what I did. Took a 2 hr nap. Woke up still tired. I'd heard mixed reviews on this med, some energetic and some more mellow. I figured, what's the worse that can happen, I'm already tired. First thing I noticed was the smoothness of it. I instantly felt nice heady effects, followed by wonderful relaxing body sensations. My aches have gone from an 8 to about a 2. After about an hour, I'd say I'm mellowed out for the rest of the evening. I'm not super tired anymore. I have enough energy to get through the evening and hopefully a peaceful nights sleep!

This was my first experience with Marijuana in over 20 years, and this stuff was potent. Within 10 minutes, tiny vibrational sounds were louder, colors were more vivid, and my body felt numb. It was intense and almost scary. I've tried many substances in the past, and this reminded me of an MDMA buzz at first. Very cerebral. It mellowed out nicely after about 45 minutes, then I was just pleasantly buzzed. My food tasted better and everything was funny to me. That was after 1 hit....no joke.

Got this strain from a local dispensary. Bud with around 22% THC. The smoke was a little harsh as I was taking huge hits like my stoner butt does. A slow hitter but comes on pretty strong. A nice little head high with a deep body high you kinda feel like your melting into a layer cake!!

It is absolutely #1 Strain in MD , I have a huge tolorance & nothing really gets me feeling medicated with a few bowls. Layer cake is seriously one of the strongest strains I've tried in my life I wanna say the high terps 3.42% with 28% THCA makes this batch a absolute perfection. The smell is 90%Garlic cookies from Grassroots & 10% Of some cheesy/Gassy/Chemmy/Grapey undertones. The nugs are absolutely covered in trichs , super dense thick nugs. It's kinda hard to break up due to how resinated these buds are. Grinder will get gunked up & a bunch of kief product is expected. As soon as you inhale you feel this warm tingly sensation with the feeling of the smoke really working into your lungs. You will not need a 2nd bowl this stuff packs a HEAVY ASS CREEPER effect.
