Tommy Eichenberg is pacing OSU with seven tackles. Sonny Styles and J.T. Tuimoloau have each registered sacks for the Buckeyes. And Ohio State has four pass breakups, with four different players keeping Drew Allar from making those completions.

Ohio State was set to get the ball in excellent field position, but the punt from Penn State's end zone bounced off the knee of Lorenzo Styles Jr. and the Nittany Lions were able to recover at their own 48-yard line.

The big play on the drive, and the second-longest play of the day for the Buckeyes, was a 30-yard pass that Cade Stover grabbed. But after that, OSU couldn't muster much. Devin Brown rushed for 5 yards as a red zone quarterback but was hurt on the play. Miyan Williams was pushed back a yard as he attempted to rush into the end zone. Then Carnell Tate was stopped for no gain on a fourth-down swing pass.

Alex Felkins brings Penn State closer | Ohio State 10, Penn State 6
Penn State is 0 for 6 on third down, and that's a big reason they had to settle for a field goal on their most recent drive. But Felkins was true on a 41-yarder to put points on the board.
Miyan Williams spearheads OSU drive | Ohio State 10, Penn State 3
Devin Brown came in as a red zone quarterback again, but the OSU drive belonged to Miyan Williams, who eventually punched in a 2-yard score and also gave the Buckeyes 29 hard-charging yards on eight carries to set up the touchdown.
OSU was fortunate to get the TD. Penn State had a Curtis Jacobs' fumble return for a touchdown called back due to a hold on Kalen King.
Chop Robinson hurt
Penn State's edge rusher Chop Robinson, who has three sacks this season, went down hurt and remained down for a long time. He eventually left the field both walking gingerly and looking dazed.

Although Ohio State deserves some credit for putting pressure on Drew Allar, it's also true that the Penn State signal caller has been a bit off-target today. He's 3 for 10, throwing for a mere31 yards. There's a little breeze, but it's still dry at Ohio Stadium.

On the Ohio State kickoff, which Chip Trayanum returned 14 yards to the 22, Buckeyes safety Ja'Had Carter was injured and needed helped off the field.

How James Franklin is previewing Ohio State vs. Penn State
Last season in State College, Pennsylvania, Penn State led Ohio State 16-14 through three quarters before allowing four fourth-quarter touchdowns to TreVeyon Henderson, who recorded two, Cade Stover and J.T. Tuimoloau, who returned an interception 14 yards for a score.
To James Franklin, Penn State “played really well for three quarters and didn’t finish.” In 2023, he expects another close game against the Buckeyes.
“You have to win big games in the fourth quarter. You have to win one-possession games,” Franklin said Tuesday. “...We expect this to be one of those types of games. We’ve played these guys for a long time. Probably up to the last two years, we’ve probably played them as well as anybody in the conference. But we got to find a way to be able to win in the fourth quarter and in one-possession games.”
Franklin said Penn State is “trying to find a way to get a win this week.” But he’s not using a different approach to end the Nittany Lions' losing streak.
“Everybody on the outside is talking,” Franklin said. “We’re approaching it the same way we do every single week. This is a really important game. Why? Because of the way we’ve handled the previous six.”

Cade Stover sends message before Ohio State vs. Penn State
Tight end Cade Stover called for Ohio Stadium to be the "most hostile, loud and rowdy environment in college football this Saturday” when he spoke to the Ohio State Skull Session crowd.
But Stover also had another message.
